The Holy Spirit Sisters of Perpetual Adoration (SSpSAP), popularly known as Pink Sisters, gave thanks to God for the gift of vocation of Sister Mary Kristina (Imelda Diola) to teh contemplative way of life. Sister Mary Kristina professed her Perpetual Vows at eight o'clock this morning at the Holy Spirit Adoration Convent, Seminary Road, Catalunan Grande, Davao City. Bishop Fernando Capalla, DD officiated the said celebration. Some SVD and Diocesan priests concelebrated in the Holy Eucharist. Different religious congregations of Sisters and Brothers together with the faithful people graced the rare event. Praise be God forever and ever!

The Mount Apo trek started on November 1 and it ended on November 3. The trek was the most fulfilling mountain climbing I ever had. How does it feel to reach the highest point of the Philipine soil? A feeling of fulfillment and humility!

Regency Evaluation '07

The SVD Regents '07 will be having their regency evaluation in Davao from October 15 to October 21. The said event aims to deepen the experiences of the regents in the different mission fields of the SVD. Vivat Maramisa Class!

Local Chapter

I find it fitting to begin this blog, 1-2-3...smile!, posting the pictures of my confreres in the Agusan-Surigao Chapter for two reasons: first, confreres working in this area contribute a lot in my regency formation in their own little way, and second, attending the local chapter opened the door for me to know deeper the SVD.

The SVD - Local Chapter was held on 3 Ocober 2007 at the SVD District House in Trento, Agusan del Sur. There were 22 participants (21 SVD priests and 1 regent) who attended the local chapter. The meeting evolved in the proposed resolutions and recommendations of different confreres in the PHS for the future of the province. The meeting started at 8:00 in the morning and it ended at 12:00 noon. See pictures below.
